Job Description

Financial Specialist is primarily accountable for the accounting and analysis of finance activities to support Asia Finance Shared Services. The role is also responsible in the preparation of financial and management reports being used by Business Units within Asia. In addition, the financial specialist is also accountable in the migration of financial processes from Asia territories.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Key member of finance process redesigns and change management across Asia Business Units
  • Review scope will cover all finance process in regional and business unit finance teams
  • Map out the revamped end to end finance processes, from onshore to shared services
  • Design of the new process should consider Regional and Global impact or becomes a global solution. Liaise with Group / Regional Finance teams when launch has a global / regional impact
  • Meet with process owners to understand current issues, identify area of improvement and provide appropriate solutions that is aligned with company objectives and to realize the intended benefits
  • Launch the new processes with detailed plans including deliverables, timelines, and milestones
  • Develop systematic approach and plan the change management for the impacted stakeholders including post launch review
  • Actively engage in change management activities including change impact analysis, stakeholder communications, training and achieve high adoption rate of the new finance processes
  • Collaborate with technical team to introduce tools to support the new finance processes where required
  • Prioritize and align on the initiatives to implement and deploy with local finance teams
  • Provide regular status update to project sponsors and stakeholders
  • Identify and manage risk that may jeopardize the implementation and deployment of the new finance processes
  • Develop key performance indicators for the transformation initiative and track the benefits post introduction of the new processes
  • Lead the regular business reviews and produce dashboard and metrics reports detailing the business unit team performance (productivity, utilization, and attendance), challenges and areas for improvement

Qualifications:

  • Must have a degree in Finance or Accounting, CPA or China Finance and Accounting certification is preferred.
  • 4 - 5 years of working experience with progressive responsibility within the Accounting and management reporting field, at least 2 of which in a BPO or Shared Service Industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, MS Access, Business Objects applications, Lawson, Hyperion Essbase.
  • Has strong attention to details.
  • Good command of written and oral English. Cantonese is preferred.
  • Demonstrates unwavering commitment and resolute decision making.

  • Comprehensive knowledge in expenses management, payment systems and operations
  • Solid interpersonal skills to interact with, establish relationships with the international business units.
  • Makes decisions in the absence of rules and /or in complex situations
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to be flexible to changing environments
  • Ability to work independently and willing to collaborate with other team members
