Job Description:
Job responsibilities:
- Audit and tax deadlines - Work with Global Statutory Reporting and Regional tax team to ensure audit and tax compliance and file on time.
- Oversee compliance with US GAAP and local statutory requirements (accounting standards, Companies Act, tax regulation, employment regulation, etc).
- Monthly review of balance sheet, profit and loss to provide explanation for significant flux.
- Monthly review of escalated open items to come up with action plans and follow up closely to ensure matters are resolved.
- Filing of indirect & taxes (VAT, WHT, PIT, Business license tax) and supporting internal tax team on CIT, local tax audit and other BIR compliances.
- Primary contact with local tax authority on tax reconciliation, tax audit and VAT refund.
- Filing of local statutory reporting/statistics/FDI reports/survey on time.
- Support policy and process improvement and identify opportunities.
- Advise Business Operations and other teams in compliance to accounting standards and policies and local tax laws.
- Represent Controllership on cross-functional team meetings.
- Complete group reporting activities on time.
- Support entities within Vietnam, as well as other countries within APJ MEA region.
- Other ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- CPA/ACCA with at least a Degree in Accountancy or Professional Qualification in Accounting.
- English - Upper-Intermediate level with fluent communication skills.
- Experience in using SAP.
- Strong accounting knowledge as well as analytical capabilities.
- Able to work in cross functional, multi-countries and remote teams.
- Ability to work independently as part of the remote local Controllership team. However, must have the flexibility to be "present" in person within a reasonable timeframe in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (where Vietnam DXC office is).
Currently working as:
- Experienced Audit Supervisor in audit firms. Preferably with experience in auditing international delivery organizations/MNCs; OR
- Controller (or similar roles) in international delivery organizations/MNCs in related fields (e.g. IT). Total working experience of 6 – 8 years with minimum 2 years in audit firms. Candidates should have exposure to Financial analysis, Technical accounting, GL accounting, tax and Payroll accounting.
