Job Description

Visa's Cyber Security team is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security engineer to Join our elite team to drive innovation in IAM processes through advanced AI technologies and automation, ensuring unparalleled security and operational efficiency! We are looking for a passionate, talented team player with a strong problem-solving mindset and coding/scripting skills, capable of thriving in a dynamic environment. Key responsibilities include understanding and authentication and authorization models, enrolling applications and appliances into IAM governance systems. The role involves monitoring, automating, and enhancing IAM processes to boost efficiency and security, including the integration of AI technologies. Leading IAM projects, developing governance frameworks, and performing operational tasks are also crucial aspects. Additionally, the position requires providing customer support, managing incidents, performing data analysis, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while effectively handling changes within IAM operations.

Essential Functions:

  • Understand application authentication and authorization models and enroll application and components to IAM governance and Identity management systems and enforce all IAM controls.

  • Enrollment and governance of appliances for IAM governance.

  • Conduct annual inspection and validation of applications for IAM controls, Validate application Self-Attestation

  • Monitor and enhance automation processes developed to enforce IAM controls

  • Automate workflows, manual control validations and reporting requirements to increase efficiency. Create scripts as required to reduce manual efforts.

  • Integrate AI and Gen AI technologies into IAM processes to enhance security and automation.

  • Lead IAM projects and initiatives end to end, collaborating with Development, QA and business stakeholders. Drive requirements and life cycle of the project. Provide status updates and metrics in a timely manner.

  • Develop and maintain IAM governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to meet audit requirements.

  • Perform operational tasks required to enforce IAM controls for application access governance.

  • Provide customer support and manage the operation of IAM controls. Handle incidents and RTIMs.

  • Perform data analysis to validate control operations and sustainability.

  • Understand and interpret audit requests, ensuring accurate and timely responses. Assist in the identification and remediation of IAM-related audit findings.

  • Ensure IAM processes comply with relevant regulatory and industry standards.

  • Manage changes effectively within IAM operations, ensuring minimal disruption for applications teams.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: •5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience. Preferred Qualifications: •6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD •Good development/coding skills. •Skill to leverage genAI effectively to supplement coding productivity. •Understanding on principles of Zero Trust. Strong understanding of IAM frameworks, policies, and procedures. •Minimum of 6+ years of experience in IAM governance, IAM Dev or operations. •Experience in leading and supporting IAM projects and initiatives. •Knowledge of application architecture, authentication, and authorization models. •Proficiency in data analysis using Excel and coding automation (Python, PowerShell, C). •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with various stakeholders. •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. •Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. •Relevant certifications (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CISM) are advantageous. •Familiarity with industry standards and regulations such as GDPR, SOX, HIPAA, etc. •Experience with IAM tools and technologies (e.g., SailPoint, Okta, CyberArk, Password Safe, Microsoft Azure AD). •Knowledge of data mining and statistical modeling techniques, including predictive modeling, classification techniques, and decision tree techniques.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 132,000.00 to 191,500.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
