Job Profile Summary

Responsible for managing a project to achieve specified objectives. Involves the overall planning, coordination, and control of a project from inception to completion to produce a functionally and financially viable project that will be completed on time within authorized cost and to the required quality. Manages scope, schedule, budget, quality, and change management.

Essential Job Functions

  • Establishing objectives for several (up to 40) small to medium sized projects to achieve business results by established critical dates.
  • Chairing status calls, preparing/updating project plans, issue tracking, requesting/approving invoices, as well as forecasting and tracking associated actuals.
  • Coordinates deliverables for all projects. Ensures adherence to schedules, deadlines, and products. Escalates matters of significance as appropriate.
  • Monitoring and redefining project objectives to respond to changes in the business environment. Provides requested data or information to support changes.
  • Coordinating inter-project dependencies, resource allocation, release planning, technology, and architecture to meet business needs.
  • Planning, coordinating, and monitoring of the budget for a small to medium sized projects to ensure cost effectiveness.
  • Monitors progress of project requirements and provides reports/updates to appropriate management, boards and committees, and business function managers to support projects in achieving the intended business results.
  • Interacts with client program sponsor and program steering board to communicate program issues and progress.
  • Coordinating change in project direction, scope, benefits, costs, and timing while minimizing financial risks. Ensures adherence to same.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, engineering or related field preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience in customer facing project management
  • Insurance claims experienced preferred
  • Experience working with project management methodology including budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies, project management software and finance and accounting concepts and practices

Additional Criteria

  • Strong Excel skills
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • An understanding of life insurance products and how they are structured including Life, Property and Casualty, and Reinsurance preferred
  • Previous DXC experience is an asset
  • Organization and planning skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to create and present executive level presentations of program and project status
  • PMP not required but understanding of PM methodology preferred

Work Environment

  • This is a remote role in the USA
Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $73,100 - $135,700.
