Lab Support Engineer I

Lab Support Engineering is at the heart of a worldwide lab operations team providing 24x7 lab access, service and solutions support in multiple locations. Independent and flexible, team members are always ready to adapt to the changing daily priorities. They make an impact in all kinds of ways – from installing and maintaining servers and storage equipment within the fast-paced lab computing environment, through to providing top-level technical expertise and support to engineering departmental users. What’s more, they work with engineering teams to create hardware configuration test plans in support of software development.

What you’ll achieve

As a Lab Support Engineer, you will be working with a talented team of engineers to create new projects and manage existing projects plus day-to-day lab operations that can support the ever-growing demand of a very fast-moving organization.You will:

  • You’ll interact with managers, product management, global support and core engineering to bring our product to a broader and increasingly demanding market.

Essential Requirements

  • Knowledge of UNIX / Linux and Windows Server plus basic VMware Knowledge.
  • Knowledge of hardware troubleshooting and repair with storage equipment
  • AAS Degree similar certifications or equivalent experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to repetitively lift 70 lbs. for installation of Dell products

Desirable Requirements

  • Technical understanding of Cisco, Brocade, Dell and/or Arista network platforms.
  • Understanding of development/test labs and workflows.

Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $68,670.00 to $84,040.00
