A Member of Technical Staff (MTS) in Salesforce Business Technology, is a Hybrid Engineering role that requires skills in both development & testing aspects of software development. You will be part of a software engineering team that delivers customer success functionality built on a Salesforce Service Cloud implementation. You will work with the team of software engineers, product managers, and architects responsible for feature development and application maintenance responsive to the needs of a highly sophisticated and global customer success organization.
You will help to ensure every line of code we push to production is of the highest quality. This includes participating in designing, planning, and enhancing automation frameworks, utilities, and tools. You should deliver solutions others can understand, support, maintain, and expand, and provide other team members with direction on development projects. You are aware of trends and technical developments in the industry, and how those can be applied in your work; and have a point of view on the delivery approach for very complex or foundational features. You have the demonstrated ability to anticipate technology lifecycle issues, work with projects involving multiple systems, and influence the team to deliver durable, extensible solutions.
This role requires you to be a self-starter who can work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. You must possess good oral and written documentation skills and be able to interact with other team members to deliver fast and reliable code. You will also be asked to contribute ideas and provide feedback on many projects within the team’s portfolio.
Build applications on the Salesforce platform
Integrate Salesforce with 3rd party applications
Participate in product and feature design with product team and business partners
Design applications based on common design patterns and best practice algorithms
Plan, design, and enhance automation framework, utilities, and tools
Participate in and contribute to code reviews
Work with engineers, business analysts, and product owners for product delivery
Ensure product quality meets customer expectations
Required Skills
3+ years of experience programming with APEX (classes, triggers, and web services), and Java or another OOP language
Knowledge of Object Oriented programming, knowledge of design patterns/ trigger framework
Experience in Salesforce APIs, Lightning Components, SOQL, and the Force.com platform
Solid understanding of HTML and CSS
Experience with JavaScript
Expertise with relational database languages (SQL or SOQL)
Experience with web services integration through SOAP or REST
Salesforce Admin and/or Platform Developer 1 certification
Very good DevOps understanding and exposure to CI/CD automation software delivery
Experience writing compelling unit test scenarios and being aware of test class best practices
Understanding of various user-based security models
Ability to learn quickly and multitask in a dynamic environment
Ability to effectively communicate status and risk to the team and manager
A related technical degree
Desired Skills
Experience in Selenium automation
Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodology
Salesforce Advanced Admin and/or Platform App Builder Certification
