Job Description:
We’re one of the world’s largest providers of transportation and logistics services. Our customers range from small and mid-sized companies up to global enterprises. Our Global Logistics and Distribution business unit provides comprehensive logistics services and warehousing solutions utilizing a global network of distribution centers, innovative technology and supply chain expertise to manage the flow of goods from receiving to storage and order processing to shipment.
Develop a cutting-edge dashboard to help manage ocean carrier performance
- Inventory current Ocean Carrier KPI's (key performance indicators)
- Survey cross-functional stakeholders regarding needs and desired outcomes
- Develop comprehensive KPIs for pricing/procurement, operations, billing, data quality, and customer service/problem resolution.
- Incorporate predictive KPIs by evaluating external data sources.
- Gain experience with data analytics, BI tools (Power BI, DOMO, etc.), TMS transportation management system data, transportation workflow, and global trade insights.
Responsibilities:
- Develops analytical models and data visualizations to drive analytic insights.
- Interacts with cross-functional teams to model current processes and evaluate potential solutions.
- Presents data insights and recommendations to key stakeholders.
- Builds dashboards and related data connections in PowerBI or DOMO
- Documents process and develops user training
- Prepare project status reports to stakeholders, highlighting key achievements and risks
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Rising college junior or senior, graduate student or recent graduate within the last 24 months pursuing a degree in Engineering, Statistics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain/Logistics or related field
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Access, Power BI; SQL
- Sufficient and effective knowledge and experience to develop dashboards including data modeling, DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), data transformation and visualization
- Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively across business units and to different levels of management
- Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate yourself - Required
