The Opportunity

As a Senior SRE Engineer, you will have a crucial role on our San Jose team, maintaining and developing core services essential for compute on the platform. What you'll Do
  • Manage and improve our core compute and query service with a focus on scalability and reliability.
  • Plan, design, develop, and test software systems or applications for software improvements and new products, including cloud-based or internet-related tools.
  • Complete SRE and DevOps tasks to ensure the flawless operation and maintenance of our systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine and successfully implement standard methodologies in software engineering.
  • Manage industry known technologies like Spark, Kubernetes, Terraform, Mongo, Databricks, Snowflake, Elastic Search together with brand-new tech to compete at the highest level of market complexity and scale.
 
What you need to succeed
  • Proven experience with SRE/DevOps practices (5 year min)
  • Good coding skills. Java is a plus
  • Experience with Unix/Linux system administration and programming
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Spark is a plus
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud-based systems and internet-related tools.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $133,900 -- $242,000 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans.  Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
