Responsibilities:
Lead the global valuation team supporting a wide array of products in the retail, institutional, and wealth areas, as well as the general account
Ensure that key processes and controls are effectively documented and adhered to, and continuously assess such processes and controls, to mitigate risk
Periodically audit key processes and controls to verify that procedures and controls are operating effectively and as intended
Oversee the development and proper implementation of fair value pricing models and ensure that all fair valuation methodologies are properly implemented
Ensure that the facts and circumstances for securities requiring fair valuation are completely researched and well documented
Provide thought leadership and support to drive execution excellence in the day-to-day management and evolution of the valuation processes and people through proactive management leveraging data, reporting and technology
Maintain flexibility throughout the matrix, proactively reaching up and down and across for the support and building relationship with key stakeholders
Drive business best practices, process re-design and identify new business capabilities driven by technology innovation
Build high-performing team through times of significant changes
Provide leadership in the areas of coaching, mentoring, thought leadership, idea development, business initiatives, and business decision making
Deliver ad-hoc business cases, presentation materials, reporting and data analysis as requested. Serve as primary point of escalation and solutioning for all Valuation Operations business functions within or outside assigned accountabilities; liaison with business/IT teams, leadership etc. to quickly resolve issues
Ensure completeness and accuracy of documentation and recordkeeping
Stay abreast of regulatory and compliance matters, as well as industry best practices
Need to work closely with counterparts to ensure standardization and consistency in operating model and relevant shared services
Full resource management responsibility
Decision making for hiring, terminating, training/developing and compensation changes for the team
Job Requirements:
Technical Expertise in asset valuation, with CFA or advanced degree preferred, and with 15+ years progressive working experience (including management experience) in large/complex organization and leading teams
Excellent knowledge of complex security instruments, including swaps and other derivatives
Strong quantitative and modeling skills
A strong mutual fund administration background
Experience in managing initiatives or teams in a transformation change environment
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to work with complex issues and concepts
Strong verbal, written and presentation skills, ability to influence business partners and motivate teams at varying levels of the organization rallying teams around common goals and objectives
Ability to prioritize/organize own or team workload to ensure deadlines are adhered to, and to successfully deliver under pressure, whilst displaying ability to deal with ambiguity
Initiative to explore new ideas and possible technology solutions and the ability to motivate others to accept progress and change
Demonstrated strong influence and negotiation skills with ability to deal with conflicts and facilitate resolution with senior management, amongst staff and peers
Candidate must have excellent risk assessment skills

Salary range is expected to be between

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
