About the Team: The Platform Persistence team is at the forefront of some of the most impactful projects, offering visibility to the executive leadership. As part of this team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our platform's data architecture and ensuring that data is stored, retrieved, and managed efficiently.As a Software Engineer on the Data Platform team, you will have the opportunity to become a key member of the Platform Persistence group. Team members will be mentored in the necessary skills to become successful contributors to the team. What you'll do and need to know:

You will work toward managing data growth and ensure our systems remain available and highly responsive.
Work with relational database developing on, troubleshooting, and optimizing performance.
Collaborate with senior and staff level peers on the performance and operational features to completion.
Demonstrated successful completion of projects.
Experience in Core Java development, Object oriented and modularized software.
Experience in handling data on relational database.

Qualifications

Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI’s potential impact on the function or industry.
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience
2+ years of software development experience
Experience working with SQL and query execution
Experienced in writing Java code
Experience in unit and integration test automation
Experience with relational databases: PostgreSQL, MariaDB, Oracle, MySQL

Nice to have:

Familiarity with Unix shell
Exposure to Data Lake technology
Good understanding of database technologies and internals
Knowledge of DevOps environment
Experience with JavaScript or Go

For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $123,500 - $191,500, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs. Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
