Job Description

About the Team: The Platform Persistence team is at the forefront of some of the most impactful projects, offering visibility to the executive leadership. As part of this team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our platform's data architecture and ensuring that data is stored, retrieved, and managed efficiently.As a Software Engineer on the Data Platform team, you will have the opportunity to become a key member of the Platform Persistence group. Team members will be mentored in the necessary skills to become successful contributors to the team. What you'll do and need to know:

  • You will work toward managing data growth and ensure our systems remain available and highly responsive.
  • Work with relational database developing on, troubleshooting, and optimizing performance.
  • Collaborate with senior and staff level peers on the performance and operational features to completion.
  • Demonstrated successful completion of projects.
  • Experience in Core Java development, Object oriented and modularized software.
  • Experience in handling data on relational database.

Qualifications

  • Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI’s potential impact on the function or industry.
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of software development experience
  • Experience working with SQL and query execution
  • Experienced in writing Java code
  • Experience in unit and integration test automation
  • Experience with relational databases: PostgreSQL, MariaDB, Oracle, MySQL

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with Unix shell
  • Exposure to Data Lake technology
  • Good understanding of database technologies and internals
  • Knowledge of DevOps environment
  • Experience with JavaScript or Go

For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $123,500 - $191,500, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs. Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
