Workday is looking for a Sr. Global Sourcing Manager - Enterprise Hardware & Software in the Global Procurement Office (GPO). This person will be responsible for sourcing complex Enterprise Software (SaaS) and End-User Hardware deals of $1M and up. You will develop and lead global category strategies and understand the business/company requirements to improve value and partner with business team members. This also includes implementing the end-to-end Sourcing process of crafting and leading category strategies, spend and market analysis, running RFx's, negotiating contracts and pricing, and supplier management.
The ideal candidate should have deep sourcing and vendor management experience within the IT space, preferably with direct IT background experience, and operate at ALL levels of the organization and move seamlessly from strategic to tactical. Having come from an IT background is highly valued as it demonstrates the cross-functional expertise needed to excel in this position. Additionally, this person must have a keen eye for detail, provide insights based on market conditions and trends, investigate innovative methods to optimize value from goods and service providers, improve the decision-making process, and increase the flow of information.
About You
7+ years of experience in Procurement / Supply Chain / Sourcing role
5+ years of experience sourcing for IT or direct experience working in IT roles
Bachelor's degree in technical, business or analytical subject area
Proven success managing complex technology deals valued at $1M+
Experience supporting IT Sourcing, technology categories and technology services, particularly Enterprise Software (SaaS) and End-User Hardware
Familiarity with standard procurement concepts, practices, and procedures
Leader with strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Advanced at developing and executing negotiation strategies
Possess a positive demeanor, excellent communication and analytical skills
Demonstration of critical thinking, ability to question the output of a financial model and consider options for improvement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
