We are looking for a Portfolio Solutions Analyst. This is a hybrid working schedule based in our New York City office.

Your Team  

Allianz Commercial (AzC) is a trusted partner for a wide range of commercial and specialty insurance risks. As a leading insurance company globally, our portfolio includes insurance plans for mid-sized to large enterprises and specialist risks, complemented by proactive risk management services.

The portfolio solutions team is expanding its presence in distribution channels across North America, overseeing key relationships for the wholesale and MGA/programs sector for all specialty lines of business. Our team manages delegated underwriting authorities and portfolios. We focus on governance frameworks, process improvement, and proactive engagement with technical underwriting and operational aspects.

The Impact You Will Have  

Reporting to the Regional Head of Portfolio Solutions and Delegated Authority, this position will support the operation and oversight of our delegated authority portfolio.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:  

  • Manage key account partnerships, including full lifecycle oversight.
  • Serve as the primary contact and support for accounts.
  • Lead regular performance management meetings.
  • Analyze report findings and communicate trends through required channels.
  • Develop relationships with internal stakeholders such as Underwriters, Claims, Compliance, Finance, Actuarial, and Operations.
  • Map, upload, analyze, and report on bordereaux and underlying data for risk, premium, and claims transactions.
  • Collaborate with offshore resources to ensure accurate data processing.
  • Prepare reports for business consideration as part of performance management.
  • Coordinate ongoing oversight of MGA, including due diligence, underwriter reviews, and audits.
  • Support the delegated authority and portfolio solutions team in managing the current book of business.
  • Assist in onboarding new MGAs and facilities.
  • Undertake ad hoc tasks as directed by Line Manager and Senior Managers.

What You’ll Bring to the Role   

  • We'd like to find someone with 1 – 4 years’ minimum experience in stakeholder management and process adherence.
  • Ability to work independently and escalate queries as needed.
  • Background in Delegated Authority.
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills.
  • Proficient communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Data management and interrogation capabilities.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Experience working for a complex global matrix, insurance carrier organization.
  • Preferably a bachelor degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Law, or other appropriate discipline. Completion of a professional insurance qualification also preferred.
  • Ability to analyze highly complex data, from multiple sources, in detail.
  • The ability to utilize AI tools to support day-today tasks, improve efficiency, and contribute to data-driven decision-making is valuable. A willingness to learn and explore how AI can enhance your role and the broader organization is expected.

The annualized base pay range for this role is $79,800 - $124,291. The annual base salary range represents a nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position may be above and will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role, the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AzC total compensation package. As part of our comprehensive compensation and highly rated benefits programs, employees are also eligible for annual performance-based cash incentive awards.
