Zurich North America is hiring an RCIS Crop Area Claims Supervisor or Manager, KS to join our team!
We are open to hiring talent in one of the following locations: Finney, Gray, Ford, Meade, Haskell, Clark Counties in KS, Cimarron, Texas, Beaver, Harper, Woodward Counties in OK.
With management oversight, leads and directs a team of lower level technical Claims Professionals who are responsible for low complexity and exposure claims in personal or commercial property/casualty lines of business. Coordinates the work activities of the team, and has responsibility for performance, development, and coaching of staff to maximize contributions and drive employee development and operational improvements.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Drive superior claims results for low complexity and exposure claims in personal or commercial property/casualty lines of business by providing direction, technical guidance, and tracking and reporting on key metrics.
Achieve customer satisfaction targets by building and maintaining relationships with internal colleagues, external customers and brokers, and analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems.
Achieve best practices by reviewing claims files, identifying trends and recommending improvements.
Manage corporate expenses by monitoring file allocations, resources and other expenditures to ensure appropriateness.
Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and internal control requirements.
Provide claims insights to assist business units by collaborating in product development, customer/broker stewardship and prospect meetings.
Motivate and lead a high performance team by attracting, on boarding, recruiting and retaining team members.
Drive the performance management process by communicating job expectations, monitoring and evaluating performance, providing feedback and facilitating employee development per the company’s policies.
Maintain transparent communication by appropriately communicating organization information to team through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, appropriate email, Investment Management and regular interpersonal communications.

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
Protect Zurich´s reputation by keeping claims information confidential.

This role will be filled at either the Technical Claims Associate Supervisor or Claims Handling Manager Level. The hiring manager will determine the appropriate level based upon the selected applicant’s experience and skill set relative to the qualifications listed for this position.
Basic Qualifications:
Technical Claims Associate Supervisor:
OR
Claims Handling Manager:
Bachelor’s Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Claims area OR
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more years of experience in the Claims area OR
Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Claims area AND
3 or more years of claims handling experience
Customer service experience
Experience with Microsoft Office
Knowledge of the insurance industry, claims and the insurance legal and regulatory environment
Preferred Qualifications:

The salary indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The combined salary range for this position is $58,700.00 - $121,700.00. The proposed Salary range for the Technical Claims Associate Supervisor is $58,700.00 - $96,200.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 10%. For the Claims Handling Manager is $74,300.00 - $121,700.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 10%.
