We are hiring an experienced #1 Subscription Services Operator for our printing plant team in Eagan, Minnesota. As a #1 Subscription Services Operator, you will be responsible for reviewing job specifications, performing set-up tasks, monitoring the equipment and troubleshooting on our Core Publishing Solutions team. For this role, you would also be eligible for $4,000 in bonuses your first year. A $2,000 signing bonus upon being in the role for 90 days, another $1,000 bonus at 6 months and a final $1,000 bonus at 12 months.  

Hours of Work – Eagan, Minnesota

  • 2nd shift – 2:30 pm – 10:30 pm
  • Occasional overtime up to 4 hours per day and occasional weekend shifts

About the Role: In this opportunity as a #1 Subscription Services Operator, you will be responsible for:   

  • Ongoing performance of the line and crew.  
  • Providing leadership, work direction, and training/developing the skills of the crew to optimize overall performance. 
  • In addition to ensuring that the line is running smoothly and producing a quality product for our customers, operators are expected to facilitate the Tier 1 meetings and Gemba Walk discussions to drive improvements to the processes associated with the machine.
  • Demonstrating strong mechanical skills: troubleshooting and resolving machine issues.

About You:

  • Strong leadership skills; ability to motivate others in a team environment
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and production orders (level required = fully competent).
  • Solid mechanical/technical skills
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills
  • Proven success as a trainer
  • Ability to provide training to flex employees as documented by standard work instructions on machine(s)
  • Consistently demonstrates effective 2-shift teamwork and communication
  • Self-starter, with a history of going after opportunities to make improvements and learn new things
  • Qualification on multiple pieces of equipment is preferred
  • Previous experience on a subscription services line is preferred
  • Able to pass a background check and drug test, as applicable for the role.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations.

For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation hourly range for this role is $21 - $38.

This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
