Details of the Division and Team:

Technology/Service is responsible for delivering the business vision and strategy, at a global level, focusing on achieving consistent operational excellence and client/user satisfaction through industrialization, price/value optionality and leveraging increased automation and the use of technology.

  • Creating a digital vision and strategy for the bank, and ensuring its integration with the organization's overall strategic plans

  • Identifying opportunities for differentiating the bank's digital portfolio including capabilities and solutions

  • Acting as a change agent in leading the organizational changes that are required to create and maintain the necessary digital portfolio.

  • Applying extensive knowledge and understanding of the evolving digital market, acts as a thought leader on emerging digital trends related to technology and business.

The Network and Voice Specialist is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and supporting our local network infrastructure.  You will work closely with global teams to deliver a scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures that meet business objectives and regulatory requirements.  This position should also provide end user services and serve as the secondary Trading Floor support specialist.

Your key responsibilities:

Network & Voice Support

  • Support various network and voice devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, Avaya PABX, IPC).

  • Perform change management for network and voice systems, follow the group’s standard procedure to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network and voice infrastructure.

  • Work with global teams to perform network and voice maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.

  • Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability

  • Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning

  • Incident management for local network and voice issues, record and escalate issues as per incident management procedure, and provide Level 1 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.

  • Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team

  • Manage network and voice projects to support local business/regulatory requirements, and serve as the coordinator for local implantation of global projects. 

  • Maintain accurate network and voice equipment inventory, ensure maintenance agreements meet internal vendor management requirements.

  • Perform disaster recovery tests for local network and voice systems.

  • Liaise with global network and local application teams to perform firewall rules recertification as per regulatory requirement.

  • Maintaining current knowledge and understanding of security and networking best practices to offer the best solutions to application team.

  • Act as backup BCM coordinator of IT department.

Daily Operation

  • Take shift to perform daily system health check (8am but subject to change) before office hours to ensure IT systems can support business operations, escalate issues identified to manager and regional counterpart and follow up issues till they are closed.

  • Trading floor support, including IPC, market data, local trading systems and desktop system support.

  • End user support, including diagnose and resolve technical problems related to desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals; and Install, configure, and troubleshoot software applications and operating systems.

Your skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience of supporting network and voice systems.

  • Comprehensive understanding of network services, and In-depth understanding and practical knowledge of networking systems such as LAN, firewalls, routers 

  • Hands-on experience with PBX systems and IPC.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network and voice communication issues.

  • Ability to work on weekend and odd hours to support production change/issue/incident as and when required.

  • Experience in working with vendor, and vendor management.

  • Good relationship, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Good project management skills and ability to work against tight deadlines & fast paced environment.

  • Proven initiative; self-starter; highly motivated; can work independently

  • Literate in both English and Chinese (spoken and written)
