Job Description

AirAsia X is looking for a Guest Services Assistant to join our team, based in Taipei. If you have a passion for delivering excellent customer service, maintaining high safety and security standards, and are ready to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, we want to hear from you!

As a Guest Services Assistant with AirAsia X, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless passenger experience by handling documentation checks, assisting with boarding and deplaning processes, providing support for special needs passengers, and complying with safety procedures and airline policies.

We are looking for someone who is friendly, meticulous, and able to perform under pressure while delivering exceptional service to our guests. If you're a self-starter with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Your Responsibilities

As a Guest Services Assistant, you will:

  • Documentation Check: Verify passenger documentation, including passport checks for international travel and I.D. matching for domestic flights. Additionally, check reservation details from the system and issue boarding passes.

  • Luggage Handling: Tag luggage and conduct carry-on inspections, adhering to the airline's Terms & Conditions.

  • Passenger Assistance: Assist guests with boarding the aircraft and deplaning upon arrival, ensuring smooth transitions.

  • Special Needs Assistance: Provide support for passengers with special requirements, such as those needing a wheelchair, NTL (Non-Tariffable Luggage), etc.

  • Document Handling: Handle documents including the GD (General Declaration), crew sign-in forms, and collect departure/arrival immigration cards.

  • Security Questions: Ask the 7 mandatory security questions to all passengers checking in their luggage.

  • Compliance: Comply with AirAsia X's standards, safety performance requirements, and relevant local laws and procedures in all operational locations. 

Your Traits

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following traits:

  • Personal Attributes: Pleasant, friendly, mature, humble, and honest with a meticulous approach to tasks.

  • Adaptability: A self-starter with the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

  • Language Skills: Proficient in both oral and written English and Bahasa Malaysia (or local language, depending on the location).

  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with passengers and team members.

  • Shift Flexibility: Must be willing and able to work on a shift basis. 

Qualification & Experience

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Previous customer service experience in the airline or hospitality industry is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of safety and security procedures is a plus.
