Job Description:

Details of the Division and Team:

Technology/Service is responsible for delivering the business vision and strategy, at a global level, focusing on achieving consistent operational excellence and client/user satisfaction through industrialization, price/value optionality and leveraging increased automation and the use of technology. 

Work includes:

  • Creating a digital vision and strategy for the bank, and ensuring its integration with the organization's overall strategic plans

  • Identifying opportunities for differentiating the bank's digital portfolio including capabilities and solutions

  • Acting as a change agent in leading the organizational changes that are required to create and maintain the necessary digital portfolio.

  • Applying extensive knowledge and understanding of the evolving digital market, acts as a thought leader on emerging digital trends related to technology and business.

The Data Centre and Technology Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for local data center operations and server & storage systems management.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Data Centre OperationTo take overall responsibility for the security of Data Centre operations and ensure that appropriate controls are implemented. Lead in the planning, development and enhancement of the Data Centre provision within overall business planning Manage Taiwan data center service provider and the services of DB global hub data centers, ensuring that agreed service levels are met and all relevant policies and procedures are adhered to, and the associated service reporting and meeting are performed as required. Supervise the technology systems installation and maintenance in data center.  Identify issues through proactive and continuously monitoring, log and manage issues timely per internal control requirements. Performing precautionary remote monitoring, on-site inspection, and effective maintenance to ensure the high availability of data center operations, as well as the functionality and quality of power and cooling systems, hardware, servers, storage, and network systems. Ensure that operational procedures and working practices are fit for purpose and current. Manage data center related policies and procedures to fit internal controls and local regulatory requirements Perform gap analysis for data center related regulations whereas needed. Manage regulatory response or reporting for data center related matters. Coordinate with global infrastructure teams to support data center shutdown activities. Internal/External audit and Information Security Assessment support for DC Operations related domains. 

  • Infrastructure Support for Servers and StorageAct as the local SME and central point of contact for Wintel/Unix server and storage support. Contract management for local technology infrastructure systems except network and voice.  Maintain accurate local server and storage inventory in CMDB and perform quarterly/annual equipment check as required. Performing precautionary systems and storage maintenance to ensure local servers and storage systems are functioning well. Manage servers and storage policies and procedures to fit internal controls and local regulatory requirements SIRM/SCCM issues follow up and remediation. Daily operation and system capacity monitoring for local server and storage systems. Technology roadmap compliance management for local server and storage systems. Incident/problem and change management for local server and storage systems. Manage regulatory response or reporting for server and storage related matters. Manage local server and storage projects. Internal/External audit and Information Security Assessment support for Server and Storage related domains 

  • Daily OperationTake shift to perform daily system health check (8am but subject to change) before office hours to ensure IT systems can support business operations, escalate issues identified to manager and regional counterpart and follow up issues till they are closed. End user support and routine processes.

Your skills and experience:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Financial Services, Server and Storage system support, and Data centre operation.

  • Familiar with IT / IS infrastructure, operating systems, configurations, and storage systems.

  • Familiar with local regulatory requirements.

  • Good knowledge of Information Security and the management of IT risks

  • Working knowledge of application and infrastructure technology

  • Good relationship, communication, and negotiation skills

  • Good project management skills and ability to deliver timely results.

  • Comfortable interacting with management and discussing critical issues.

  • Proven initiative; self-starter; highly motivated; can work independently.

  • Literate in both English and Chinese (spoken and written)
