Job Summary

This position has the overall responsibility on the Capital Management activities of both AZAY (Life & Health) and AAGI (Non-Life) entities. This role is responsible for ensuring the capital efficiency of AZAY and AAGI under Thailand Risk Based Capital (RBC) and European (Solvency II) regimes and be the key person to assist the broader teams i.e. Corporate Actuarial, Risk Management and Finance teams in determining strategies to refine existing processes for capital and shareholders' dividend capacity analysis, in order to advise the business and key stakeholders on capital and risk related decisions

Key Responsibilities

1) SII Internal model - development and implementation

1. Country Capital management (SII basis applicable to AZAY (LH entity) only)

• Actively steer and oversea capital generation / consumption from various day to day business activities from first line. (e.g. products launch, investment strategies..etc.).
• Highlight and facilitate capital issues to management, act as single touch point with AZAP/Group and organize internally to steer towards an optimal solution.
• Organize strategy and initiatives including feasibility studies and execution towards meeting target for the in-scoped Capital KPIs. In-scoped Capital KPIs:

1. Dividend upstream
2. RBC and SII solvency ratio
3. SII, IFRS17, local RoE
4. RORC (jointly with CA)

1. Manage AM Best rating renewal to maintain A- rating for AAGI

Required experience and skills;

• Bachelor ‘s or Master’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Economics, Financial Engineering, Actuarial, or other related fields
• At least 15 years of experience in capital or risk management and assessment, contingency plan design and development, finance, or other related fields in insurance or banking business
• Any relevant professional qualification (e.g. FRM, CFA, PRM, SoA) will be an advantage
• Knowledge of database technologies (querying and analyzing) such as SQL, NoSQL, etc.
• Relevant technical experience to analyze complex datasets from SQL, Excel, Tableau and other scripting languages/statistical tools
• Quantitative and analytical thinking skills, Programming skill for Risk Capital Calculation and Mathematics and statistical/ actuarial knowledge
• Risk management (e.g. risk assessment), Analytical thinking skills
