Job Summary

The Inflight Finance Manager will oversee the financial operations of the department, ensuring compliance with regulations, efficient financial management, and strategic support for business goals. The role involves budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial planning to drive the department’s revenue and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis:

• Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models.

• Analyze financial performance and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.

Reporting:

• Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Cost Management:

• Monitor expenditures to maintain budgetary control.

• Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiency.

Compliance & Audit:

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, including tax laws.

• Liaise with external auditors and coordinate audit processes.

Team Management:

• Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering professional growth and performance.

• Ensure efficient delegation and workflow management.

Treasury & Cash Management:

• Oversee cash flow planning and management.

• Manage banking relationships and optimize working capital.

Strategic Collaboration:

• Collaborate with other functions to align financial goals with organizational objectives.

• Provide financial insights for business initiatives and investment opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s or CPA/CA preferred).

• Experience: Minimum 5-7 years in finance or accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in financial software (e.g. Oracle).

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and financial modeling.
