About the position
As IT Area Lead you will act as the CIO of ING Hubs Slovakia. You are responsible for driving the technical vision across the IT Supercircle & squads. You wisely balance between delivering secure, high quality, robust systems and or services, forging an elite-level partnership with the functional leads across ING, relentlessly investing in the development of the leads, engineers, and tackling technical and non-financial risks.
You set the standards for your area and take responsibility for developing, innovating, safeguarding, and multiplying knowledge.
Your teams are working on a broad variety of activities, providing generic IT services for all our employees, e.g Network, laptops, services for the Wholesale Banking network: application (commercial of the shelf) support, intelligent automation to automate manual work for the COO domain and multiple teams in the IAM space for the whole of ING as well as teams in the IT Risk & security domain.
You will work on multiple and various projects, you will implement the vision and strategy of the functional services we provide from different functional owners. And define and implement the local ING Hubs Slovakia vision.
Leads a diverse group of teams composed of different areas of expertise but which have the same or related purpose to design, develop, deliver and maintain IT related products and services, write code, test it, deploy and maintain it; teams work within a matrix management structure. The IT Area Lead partners with the most senior management in the countries to support the digitization and automation of their business activities serviced by the Slovakia teams and to ensure that IT services are managed in a safe, secure, and compliant way. The IT Area Lead is responsible for setting the strategic direction and develop the craftsmanship of members of his/her IT Area so that they might continuously deliver innovative solutions to ING colleagues and stakeholders via an agile delivery service model.Key responsibilities:
Drive and maintain IT risk within appetite for assets owned by ING Hubs Slovakia and ensure execution of entity-wide IT controls.
Design and implement a local IT roadmap and ensure the further onboarding of ING Hubs Slovakia to global IT services of ING.
Partner with the ING Hubs Head of IT, other ING Hubs locations and global stakeholders to ensure that ING Hubs Slovakia moves towards a global IT architecture landscape and adopts global tooling where possible.
Is part of the ING Hubs Slovakia management team, local NFRC, other local steering committees & the ING Hubs global IT community.
Ensure that ING Hubs Slovakia has the correct tooling, services, and support in place to allow the organization to move towards a hybrid way of working.
Global capability hub lead role for ITGRC (IT governance, risk & compliance) and further maturing the service provided by multi hub locations.
You lead by example being a model of sound technical thinking and sophisticated engineering patterns that pertain to distributed systems.
You showcase leadership and sound decision-making to your organization, multiplying your effectiveness by teaching others how to lead.
Contribute to the development of annual and longer-term business plans; forecast performance against business key performance indicators; develop business cases for key activities/projects; and estimate the financial and human resources required to deliver performance targets.
Identify and manage stakeholders, finding out their needs/issues/concerns and reacting to these by leading and coordinating the development of stakeholder engagement plans to support the communication of information and decisions.
Identify shortcomings in existing business practices, then suggest and implement improvements while developing and delivering projects or a work stream within the organization's change management program.
Communicate the actions needed to implement the strategy and business plan within the team; explain the relationship to the broader organization's mission, vision, and values; motivate people to commit to these and to doing extraordinary things to achieve goals.
Motivate and support the growth of all members of your chapter leads team using equitable approaches to performance management and development that may be differentiated to support each employee's unique needs and preferences to bring out their best and meet business needs.
Use the organization's formal development framework to identify the team's individual development needs. Plan and implement actions, including continuing professional development specified by professional or regulatory institutions, to build their professional capabilities. Provide informal training or coaching to others throughout the organization in own area of expertise to enable others to improve performance and fulfil personal potential.
Develop procedures and interpret/apply policy for the area to achieve specified outputs, or advise the wider business on application of policy, then monitor implementation of those procedures within the organization.

Based on your experience/profile, the final financial conditions will be the subject to discuss and negotiate at the personal interview, however, not less than above mentioned minimum salary component.
