Job Description:
As a safety compliance engineer at HPE Singapore, you will play a critical role in ensuring that HPE Aruba products meet safety, regulatory, and environmental standards globally.
You will primarily ensure HPE Aruba products adhere to safety standards and EMC regulations. You will take the lead in collaborating with R&D/design teams to integrate compliance into product architecture by conducting risk assessments to identify and mitigate safety hazards.
Responsibilities
Manage technical Regulatory Safety compliance to meet product/market/country requirements.
Lead our internal Regulatory Safety function and be the natural go-to consultant on safety compliance matters
Enhance internal lab capabilities and manage external vendors to support our Regulatory deliverables and stay ahead of our requirements.
Work closely with design engineers to mitigate safety compliance risks during development
Conduct validation studies during qualification phase and follow through post compliance activities with country partners and regulatory agencies.
Conduct design reviews, investigations and validation testing during new product development
Interprets compliance standards to make risk assessments and decisions
Optimize compliance test costs while meeting aggressive time to market schedules
Ensure required documentations (e.g. test data, test reports, certifications) to support compliance are proper, timely and in order
Manage relationship with regulatory agencies, compliance test labs, in-country technical regulatory and safety engineers
Resolve factory audit findings
About you:
Bachelor or master’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
Demonstrated experience in technical regulatory compliance field, ideally in a lab/product development background
Demonstrated experience in technical Safety/EMC compliance reviews of new products under development with at least 3-4 new product introductions with focus on Safety assessments and compliance, Design for EMC, EMC investigations,
Excellent grasp of pre and post compliance processes, standards and emerging issues
Up to date on Hazard Based Safety Engineering methodology
Candidates with compliance engineering of enterprise systems such as networking, telecommunication systems, servers, power modular power supplies are highly desired
Experience working across cultures and with remote partners
Self-motivated, technically inclined and experienced individual
