As the primary leader of PropertyGuru’s Singapore organization, you will spend time with the teams on the ground to build relationships, empathy and credibility. Leading by persuasion and influence will be key criterion for success in this role given the matrixed structure of the PropertyGuru organization and the Group Headquarters which is located in Singapore. 

This is an upgraded executive leadership role reporting directly to the Group Chief Executive Officer, as a result of the incumbent’s forthcoming retirement.  

Responsibilities & Leadership: 

  • Part of the PG Group Leadership Team helping drive the overall Group business strategy and execution 

  • Accountable for the country level business strategy and owns the country level P&L  

  • Owns and is accountable for the health and success of the Singapore marketplace, from Agent and Listings volumes, property seeker volumes, and engagement, brand preference, and value delivered to our customers 

  • Drives country level business planning, owns top line revenue growth and corresponding operational costs 

  • Leads the Country Leadership Team to achieve business outcomes and employee engagement  

  • Builds on the existing strong employee culture and solidifying PropertyGuru as an employer of choice 

  • A role model sponsor for the largest and most important customers in Singapore and represents the Singapore business with key industry players 

  • Directs the end-to-end customer journey for the different Singapore customer segments  

  • Jointly owns the Singapore homeseeker & homeowner journey 

  • Leads and take accountability for country level product and marketing strategy and execution 

 Experience Requirements: 

  • Seasoned commercial leader with proven record of running large-scale businesses, ideally SGD$100m+ 

  • Expertise in marketplace businesses and/or expertise in the digital products and/or services industry 

  • Understanding of the B2B2C business model 

  • A strong customer affinity – ability to own and develop customer relationships alongside an ability to develop customer feedback into actionable product and service improvements opportunities 

  • A consumer advocate – a demonstrated ability to balance the needs of consumers alongside revenue growth 

Personal requirements: 

  • Influential, motivational people leader who excels in leading others through change and influencing others outside of the direct sphere of influence to drive the right outcomes 

  • Evidence of leading and developing team members and grooming future senior leaders 

  • Ambitious with high EQ, excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills  

  • Dynamic, self-motivated, problem-solver 

  • A track record of thriving in complex, fast-changing business environments with the ability to adapt strategies to evolving business needs 

  • Strong Singapore affinity, track record and network will be advantageous 

  • A commercial product background and/or a demonstrated experience of owning and/or influencing a product roadmap would be advantageous.
