Get to Know the Role
We are seeking an Assistant Procurement Manager/Procurement Manager to support the local procurement function in Grab Singapore. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in procurement and demonstrate a passion for applying these principles in a robust environment. This role will be based onsite at our One North Office, reporting to Cluster Procurement Head, Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
Policy / Process Implementation: Implement Procurement Policies & Processes through regular training sessions, related programs, and practices, including Compliance, Commercial, and Vendor Relationship and Performance Management.
Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute Procurement Strategic Sourcing Plans and Business Cases to support and add value to the functional area by assessing local market business needs, spending, category, and local supply nuances (cost-effectiveness, process efficiency, transparency, risk, etc.).
Policy / Process Implementation: Implement Procurement Policies & Processes through regular deployment of training sessions, related programs, and practices. This includes ensuring compliance, managing commercial aspects, and overseeing vendor relationships and performance management.
Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
Sourcing and Negotiation: Lead procurement activities, including performing RFx commercial evaluations, clarifications, and negotiations with vendors. The objective is to secure the best commercial terms and conditions in close coordination with stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement / Collaboration: Build and maintain effective collaborative relationships with local stakeholders and business units (e.g., Operations, Marketing, Facilities, Legal departments) to identify opportunities for spend effectiveness and cost efficiencies. Assist in understanding business needs and work with stakeholders/internal business partners to establish scopes of work/services and/or product specifications, facilitating RFx processes in accordance with Procurement policy.
Contract Management: Oversee contract management, including coordinating and leading the legal review and approval process for procurement and sourcing contracts/agreements.
Supplier Performance: Monitor supplier performance, resolve any issues or disputes to ensure timely delivery, and plan and facilitate supplier performance reviews.
Objectives and Key Results (OKRs): Support your supervisor in achieving the yearly Procurement OKRs set for Singapore. Collaborate on procurement activities and follow up on pending critical issues.
Regional Support: Assist Regional Procurement Category Leads in implementing Category Strategies locally, making necessary adjustments to address local nuances.
Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
