The candidate is responsible for the day-to-day operational aspects of database administration to meet the business needs and service level for ORACLE plus another db flavour MSSQL/MYSQL/POSTGRES/Mongo
Provide 1st and 2nd level operational database support.
Assist and respond promptly to incident, investigate & provide temporary &/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated.
Manage database changes through change request process & provide status reports to the relevant parties.
Monitor & measure the performance & availability of databases proactively; implement corrective actions identified to improve.
Perform regular security patching for the DBs including RAC/Cluster db.
Handle service continuity measures, i.e., backup/restore procedures & disaster recovery plan, to ensure continuous operation of the business.
Manage DB access. Create, Change, delete users accounts as per request.
Maintain dataguard and ensure DR in synch all times.
Monitor and maintain database backups.
Audit Support.
Prompt 24x7 support.
Accommodative for Shift/Roster call out.

Skills for Success:

Implement and manage Audit, Backup & Monitoring of DBs. Minimum Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
EDB Professional Certification
Oracle Professional Certification
MS SQL Professional Certification
Minimum 3 year of experience in Oracle(Standalone +RAC/Cluster)
Minimum 3 years of experience in PostgreSQL(Standalone +Cluster)
Minimum 3 year of experience in MS SQL (Standalone +Cluster)
Minimum 3 year of experience in MYSQL (Standalone +Cluster)
Extensive experience in managing common Database platform like Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS SQL & MongoDB including Cluster architecture
Experience in performing database Patching, backup & recovery as well as excellent troubleshooting and performance tuning skill is a must.(Including cluster architecture)
Implement Database hardening as per CIS Benchmarks.
EDB Cluster management using EFM.
