Summary:
The Model Risk Specialist is a Second Line of Defense role in the Risk Management function. The role is primarily responsible for managing the model risk activities across all stages of the model lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
Manage and complete the Model Lifecycle from end to end for new/ existing models in the bank.
Validate risk models not limited to scorecards, IRB/ECL/AML models etc.
Perform risk assessment on Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics (AIDA) models and GenAI models such as performing FEAT assessment in accordance with MAS guideline.
Ensure effective embedment of the Model Risk controls in the model lifecycle
Ensure the Model Risk framework, policy, standards are up to date and in line with regulatory requirements.
Provide advisory on Model Risk governance best practices to the stakeholders.
Implement the automation of model governance processes, process synchronisation and data standardization across regional teams.
Champion the model risk culture, and promote model risk awareness, such as through training.
Report model risk findings to senior management
Work effectively as a team member with other quantitative analysts in the Bank, as well as with external consultants.
Eligibility:
Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, or a related field
3+ years of experience in Model Risk Management or a related field
Strong understanding of model risk governance and regulatory requirements
