This is a Director role in a team of experienced professionals developing, delivering and winning high impact business opportunities for Visa.

You will be part of the Product & Value Added Services (VAS) team in Singapore, a critical function that drives the usage and expansion of Visa credentials, accelerates digital payments, promotes payment innovation, and grows the adoption of Value-Added Services (VAS). You will also be part of the broader SMT VAS team who supports Global Clients.

The Director, Issuing VAS will report to the Cluster Head of VAS for SMT, GC & A, and also join the Singapore market Product & VAS team, and will be responsible for achieving the Singapore markets’ along with Global Clients’ VAS revenue and sales targets across all categories including Risk and Data Solutions, Issuing Solutions, Digital Solutions, Network Solutions, and Innovation. The position will have significant interaction with the SMT (Singapore, Malaysia, Singapore) cluster and Regional Market Support Centre product teams and collaborate with cross-functional teams within Visa such as Sales, Risk, Finance, Consulting and Analytics, and Client Services.

Important to the role are a deep understanding of the payments landscape, a customer-obsessed mindset to understand our clients’ needs, and a strong business acumen to achieve long-term growth. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Key accountabilities and objectives of the role

  • Achieve Singapore’s Issuing VAS revenue and sales targets by working with market and regional Product teams, Sales teams, and other relevant cross-functional teams and stakeholders,
  • Achieve Global Client’s revenue and sales targets by working with AE teams and regional Product teams, and other relevant cross-functional teams and stakeholders,
  • Develop and execute VAS strategies to accelerate the growth of VAS in Singapore and across Global Clients
  • Support pre- and post-sales engagements including but not limited to evaluating potential opportunities, creating client pipeline, and executing against sales plans,
  • Execute activities throughout the sales cycle such as sales pitch, product demos/webinars, commercial offer, contracting, optimization, and audit management,
  • Support the launch of new product initiatives, product enhancements, and acceleration plans,
  • Assess the feasibility of rolling out new products and solutions into the market, understand and provide local market requirements that will influence the global product roadmap, and develop go-to-market and commercialization plans,
  • Engage with clients during & post the sales journey to pitch, negotiate commercials and showcase value from usage
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis to senior management, whilst managing sales goals and results
  • Identify new prospects, qualify and size opportunity drive pipeline development, manage the sales process and close new businesses
  • Acquire and maintain technical and functional knowledge of existing and new products with the ability to design solutions with clients
  • When needed, aid in the completion and presentation of RFPs and RFIs responses
  • Where employee is a subject matter expert, provide knowledge sharing, coaching and training across functional teams and/or regions

Employees are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

What you will need to be considered and successful in this role

We are looking for an individual with exceptional Business Development and Sales leadership experience along with deep, payment expertise to help scale and shape the services we deliver to clients.

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in B2B technology consultative sales with strong ecommerce / digital payments experience in relevant markets
  • Demonstrated sales leadership in developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve the countries VAS targets
  • Budget Management: Oversee and manage the sales budget and allocation for the countries VAS targets
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities
  • Executive presence including excellent communication and presentation skills, written and verbal and ability to communicate at all levels within large organizations
  • Executive reporting: Report directly to executive leadership, providing updates on sales performance and strategy implementation
  • Self-motivated & results oriented individual
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with senior executives
  • Strong analytical skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor
  • Holds self and others accountable for measurable high quality, timely and effective results

What will also help

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent (MBA preferred)
  • Familiar with Value-based selling methodology with strategic focus on impacting ROI
  • Demonstrated leadership and collaboration capabilities across a matrixed organization
  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics
