Our Role

Join Allianz Insurance Singapore as our Senior Legal & Compliance Counsel – a trusted Legal, Compliance & Data Privacy advisor. In this dynamic and strategic role, you will be a key partner in ensuring that our operations are not only compliant but forward-looking, enabling business growth with confidence. You will work closely with teams across the organization, providing proactive legal guidance and safeguarding the company against legal and regulatory risks.

Key Responsibilities

Provide legal advice on insurance, corporate commercial and other business activities of the Company, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating relevant legal documentation and internal reports, standards, policies, and procedures
Advise and support on actual and potential contentious matters involving the Company
Ensure communication and implementation of applicable policies and procedures within the department/business
Ensure that compliance and data privacy issues or concerns are appropriately evaluated, investigated, and resolved
Develop, maintain, and revise policies and guidelines to ensure the Company complies with all necessary guidelines, regulations, and legislation
Stay abreast of industry developments and emerging trends, including the introduction of new products/services and their implications from a regulatory and compliance perspective
Perform any other duties as may be assigned

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of Legal and Compliance experience, with a legal background and relevant experience in the insurance industry
Experience with local regulatory requirements
Bachelor’s Degree

Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills
Proven team player with the ability to work independently
Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues across various functions, cultures, and backgrounds
