JOB SUMMARY

  • Transaction and Treasury Management Services (TTS) is a key pillar of SME Banking at Standard Chartered Bank.  Responsible for the development and governance of cash products in SME Banking, this role will partner with Transaction Banking to drive profitable growth of the cash management products and services available to SME segment and work with key markets to increase usage of the bank’s capabilities via our digital platforms.
  • With rapid digitalization driving all types of cash management and commercial treasury transactions, this group role position requires someone who has multi cash product knowledge discipline, commercialization experience and execution track record for this quick pace business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy, Business, Processes

  • Bridging as a Group SME cash product subject matter expert between Country SME markets and Transaction Banking, co-creating and maintaining suitable cash products and reference materials for SME sales teams and clients.
  • Ensuring available cash products to SME segment are utilized for the appropriate client sets through cash deal reviews and regular product trainings.  Also ensure that FCC/CDD related risk for cash products and services are well-managed.
  • Managing pricing (fees and interest rates).  Understanding of pricing points across products, services and markets, movement in reference interest rates and overall competitiveness of pricing vis a vis competitors.
  • Partnering to drive effective end-to-end client onboarding and service delivery processes.  
  • Driving digital adoption and utilisation of the bank’s corporate banking platform, Straight to Bank (S2B). Collaborate with Group SME Channels lead and platform developers to identify and roll out digital features appropriate for SME customers globally.
  • Partnering with Analytics teams, Country Product and Segment teams to identify and roll out regular and/or seasonal promotions and campaigns to capture and/or increase operating accounts and core balances, cross-sell FX, Trade, wealth and lending products, driving digital adoption of the bank’s corporate banking platform.
  • Designing, developing and utilizing management information dashboards to monitor business performance and generate insights 

Risk Management

  • Ensuring available cash products to SME segment are utilized for the appropriate client sets through cash deal reviews and regular product trainings.  Also ensure that FCC/CDD related risk for cash products and services are well-managed.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Undergraduate degree
  • 8 plus years experience or more in Cash Product Management or related business; hands-on exposure to the India SME market plus understanding of South Asia and/or AME markets
  • Multi cash product knowledge and commercialization experience; experience in FI space would be advantageous
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization both internally and externally.
  • Ability to operate in a complex matrix environment; able to influence and coordinate multiple internal stakeholders around a common goal.
  • A highly motivated self-starter with intellectual curiosity; attentive to details and strong analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills with proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
