The Tuas, Singapore active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) manufacturing site is a key strategic manufacturing part of the PGS Network. Many of the Pfizer’s important new innovative medicines are being transferred to the Site to support the overall growth and breakthrough strategy.

Reporting to the Operational Effectiveness Lead, Operational Effectiveness Specialist will focus on the new facility in the Tuas API site

  • To lead, coach and execute Operational Excellence through Lean and Six Sigma application at the site
  • The role is responsible to deploy and sustain the Integrated Manufacturing Excellence (IMEx) "way of working" for day-to-day operations, problem solving, escalations and continuous improvements,
  • Contribute to achieving our vision of being the best in class manufacturing site, producing highest quality products in the safest way

What Will You Achieve

In this role, you will:

  • Build six sigma and lean capability of colleagues through training and coaching (including IMEx orientation, IMEx elements, Innovation, process capability, M1 training and certification, 5S etc.)
  • Provide leadership & guidance to Green Belts (Method 2) and Yellow Belts (Method 1)
  • Support OE lead in measuring site performance against balanced score card as well as long term goals and identifying largest sources of loss and greatest improvement opportunities
  • Lead and facilitate structured problem solving to resolve largest sources of loss.
  • Support OE lead in facilitating Goal Cascade, Goal setting aligned to site goals for process centric teams (PCTs) supported.
  • Act as PMO, Lead and manage projects that contribute to stabilization of the new site and achievement of Site’s long-term goals
  • Play an active and impactful role to deliver flawless execution in Business Excellence, Process Centric Team (PCT) by tracking performance against metrics, highlighting & resolving issues, with appropriate escalations

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science or related discipline from a recognized university with 0-6 years of experience.
  • Experience in engaging multiple stakeholders and driving to alignment and action.
  • Ability to communicate with and influence peers and leaders
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and working independently to deliver results.
  • Ability to deliver results with minimal supervision in a dynamic and often ambiguous environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to act decisively and independently to resolve issues
  • Possesses a can-do / pride to succeed attitude
  • Embraces the use of digital technology to scale and speed up every form of interaction and action
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Masters degree
  • Knowledge of cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices), and manufacturing procedures and standards
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and software.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills and technologies.
