Job Description:
The Operations Technical Support Supervisor is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing technology-related applications and systems. Serving as a liaison between user groups and the application development team, this role ensures the seamless integration of IT solutions to support business operations. Additionally, the position involves data analysis, system access management, and technical support to internal teams.
Job Responsibilities
1. Information Systems Design & Development
Coordinate the design and implementation of IT systems to align with business objectives.
Develop project request documents outlining scope, stakeholders, and key deliverables.
Define system specifications and requirements to achieve desired outcomes.
Communicate technology proposals to regional and district teams to ensure alignment and awareness.
2. Technology Implementation & Optimization
Support the deployment of IT systems, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Evaluate business processes for potential IT automation and optimization opportunities.
Conduct system testing to validate functionality, performance, and compliance with specifications.
Develop training materials and provide training sessions for stakeholders.
Generate reports for senior management to assess technology effectiveness (e.g., cost-benefit analysis, usage rates, accuracy).
3. Technical Support for Operations & Engineering
Investigate system and user issues, performing root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Conduct routine system checks to detect and resolve performance irregularities.
Identify maintenance tasks and resource needs to ensure system stability and uptime.
Act as a subject matter expert, providing technical support and guidance to users.
4. Data Analysis & Reporting
Identify and analyze stakeholders' data needs, developing relevant reports and queries.
Utilize advanced data retrieval methods (e.g., macros, Power BI) to enhance reporting efficiency.
Format and interpret data deliverables (e.g., dashboards, reports, spreadsheets) to support informed decision-making.
5. System Access Management & Compliance
Collaborate with the IT team to manage system access for internal users.
Verify data accuracy and formatting (e.g., employee IDs) to minimize processing errors.
Process system access requests in compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley).
Work with Corporate Security to manage special access requests and ensure compliance with company policies.
Job Requirements
Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Information Technology or related fields
1-2 years of relevant experience in logistics, project management, or technology development.
Prior experience in the logistics industry (Express/Small Package, Freight Forwarding) is an advantage
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
Prior experience in system API integration, process automate, data analysis is an advantage.
Prior people management experience is a plus
Willing to travel within APAC as needed
