Get to know the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented GXS Regulatory Reporting Specialist/Lead Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a passion for regulatory compliance and financial reporting to make a significant impact within our organization.

In this role, you will handle a variety of regulatory reporting duties, including supporting monthly reporting close and ensuring compliance with key regulatory returns (such as MAS Notice 610, MAS Notice 637, and MAS Notice 649). You will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest level of controls in reporting processes for Digibank, and you will also support new product launches through automation builds and end-user testing for both Bank and Group.

As a Regulatory Reporting Specialist, your responsibilities will include: 

  • Reporting directly to the Head of Regulatory Reporting, you will ensure the timely and accurate delivery of month-end reporting closing and assigned regulatory reporting returns to MAS. This includes the computation of regulatory ratios based on your area of subject matter expertise.
  • You will closely monitor compliance with regulatory ratios and promptly alert management when necessary actions are required.
  • Staying up-to-date with regulatory updates, changes, and new requirements will be essential. You will provide feedback to MAS where applicable.
  • Continual assessment of processes, outputs, and controls will be a key part of your role to drive the function towards best practice operational excellence.
  • You will support new product launches through automation builds and end-user testing, ensuring seamless integration and compliance.
  • Additionally, you will assist with year-end audit liaison, regulatory reporting, and other ad hoc assignments as required.

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications: 

  • Demonstrates Heart, Hunger, Honour and Humility values required to work at Digibank
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in banking, with a focus on financial or regulatory reporting
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience of MAS regulatory reporting guidelines, practices and procedures are preferred (especially in area of MAS Notice 637)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Willingness to take on new challenges and be adaptive to a fast-growing and dynamic start-up environment
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure and tight schedules, cope with several tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines
  • Creativity and comfortable with ‘blank sheet of paper’ assignments and problem-solving in a complex environment
  • Structured thought process, self-initiative, and strong analytical abilities
  • Ambitious, self-driven, and highly motivated individual who can work well in a startup VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous) environment
  • Demonstrated integrity and respect in the performance of their duties.
