About the Role

Join us as Portfolio Solutions, Analyst at AIA Investment Management! We are seeking for a Portfolio Solutions, Analyst who will report to the Portfolio Solutions, Principal to help develop and operationalize the ESG strategy across our investment portfolio. The role involves working closely with our internal and external fund managers, conducting analysis to support evaluation of ESG metrics for decision making and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.

Responsibilities         

  • Develop and operationalize the ESG strategy across investment portfolios, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
  • Define and implement relevant ESG metrics, KPIs, and frameworks to accurately measure, monitor, and report on the impact of ESG initiatives.
  • Conduct comprehensive ESG assessments of potential and existing investments, providing actionable insights and recommendations to portfolio managers for seamless integration of ESG principles into investment decision-making.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with investment teams and other stakeholders, understanding their unique needs and providing tailored ESG solutions and expert guidance.
  • Collaborate with enterprise risk management to measure and monitor the impacts of climate scenario analysis, contributing to the development of robust climate risk management strategies.
  • Collaborate with AIA group stakeholders on ESG reporting initiatives, ensuring transparency and compliance with relevant reporting standards.
  • Conduct in-depth ESG policy analyses (MAS regulatory policy or new frameworks like ISSB) and develop strategic roadmaps and action plans to drive continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to thought leadership initiatives and develop and deliver training programs to educate internal teams on the latest ESG trends, regulations, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, or a closely related field
  • Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications in sustainability (e.g., CFA ESG, SASB FSA, GRI) are highly desirable
  • 3-6 years of professional experience in a sustainability-focused role within an asset management, financial services, or consulting firm
  • Proficiency in ESG data analysis and reporting tools, with knowledge of BlackRock Aladdin being a significant advantage
  • Proven experience in implementing new methodologies or technologies to drive sustainable change and operational excellence, including experience with emissions reduction initiatives
  • Comprehensive understanding of global ESG trends, frameworks (e.g., SBTi, TCFD, SFDR), standards, and regulatory environments
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment
