DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its set-up in 2013, Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has constantly proven its capacity to deliver global technology products and services, playing a dynamic role in the Bank’s technology transformation.

We are an essential part of the Bank’s technology platform and develop applications for many important business lines such as: Private Bank, Corporate Bank, Investment Bank, Risk, Compliance & Anti-financial Crime, Treasury, Non-Financial Risk, Credit Risk, IT Finance, Chief Security Office, Chief Technology Office, as well as Global Procurement and EMEA HR Services.

Divisional Description: The Group Architecture team drives the development of a clear target state architecture for the organisation, together with the governance processes, supporting tools, standards and frameworks required to deliver this. This requires strong collaboration and buy-in across the Bank, working closely with federated business, infrastructure teams and CDIO.

Role Description:  The Regional Head of Group Architecture and Architecture Governance will lead and manage the local architecture team. This role will have functional responsibility for the Architecture Governance of key programmes, shaping, evolving, and executing the architecture frameworks. Ensuring strong engagement with broader Group Architecture functions and regions, and developing a high performing team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the local architecture team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
  • Architecture Governance develop and implement architecture governance frameworks and processes. Ensure compliance with architecture standards and policies across key programmes. Monitor and report on architecture governance metrics and KPIs.
  • Programme Support collaborate with programme sponsors, managers and architects to ensure architectural integrity and alignment.
  • Communication serves as a strong, decisive communicator, effectively conveying architecture strategies and decisions to stakeholders at all levels. Act as a liaison between local and global architecture teams.

Skills

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Ability to influence and drive change at senior level across global locations
  • Proficiency in architecture tools, frameworks, and technologies.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends. With experience either across front office Business Divisions or Risk, Finance, and Treasury systems within Financial Services.
