DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its set-up in 2013, Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has constantly proven its capacity to deliver global technology products and services, playing a dynamic role in the Bank’s technology transformation.

We have a robust, hands-on engineering culture dedicated to continuous learning, knowledge-sharing, technical skill development and networking. We are an essential part of the Bank’s technology platform and develop applications for many important business areas.

Securities Services business provides Custody services and Fund Accounting for institutional investors. Corporates and Institutions investing globally must adapt to market infrastructure change and new technological innovations, as well as cope with a changing regulatory landscape. To thrive in this complex world, they need smarter custody solutions, that focus on their specific post-trade goals and data that empowers them to improve their efficiency.

Our current work includes strategic, new projects around common and reference Custody data, in standard formats, providing as much as possible also a single place for custody data management, that should increase consistency, prevent data quality problems, and minimize future changes to other domain consumers, when systems are aligned to bank wide strategic data sources.

Responsibilities

  • The DevOps Engineer will contribute to the software continuous delivery and release process
  • SDLC workflows improvements
  • Perform configuration management in non-production and production environments
  • Support engineering efforts by providing tools, automation, and hardware assistance.
  • Helps enhancing Continuous Integration / Delivery / Monitoring / Alerting
  • Micro services deployment automation for On-Prem (OpenShift 4) and Cloud (GCP)
  • Improve resiliency, stability, monitoring and alerting of the services
  • Research and debug various problems in development or production environments, assisting also development team
  • Technology roadmap compliance plans and upgrades

Skills

  • Deep technical skills in at least one core language environment (Python/Java/Javascript), Shell Scripting, Linux, Terraform (IaC) and YAML files.
  • Experience in automation tools such as Jenkins (or other CI/CD tools), preferably around Java 11+/Spring Boot micro-services
  • Good experience in cloud based tech: GCP (preferable)/AWS/Azure.
  • Maven, Gradle or other build tools knowledge
  • Experience with dev platforms such as BitBucket/GitHub, Artifactory, Confluence, Jira;
  • Experience with Docker containerization and clustering (Kubernetes/OpenShift, Docker, Helm);
  • Desirable to have experience with data streaming and processing technologies (Kafka, MQ)
  • Application layer protocols (TLS/SSL, HTTP(S), DNS, etc)
  • Experience in monitoring/alerting/reporting tools such as Splunk, New Relic, Grafana, Geneos etc

Nice to have:

  • Automated test tooling/frameworks development experience
