DevOps Engineer:

DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its set-up in 2013, Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has constantly proven its capacity to deliver global technology products and services, playing a dynamic role in the Bank’s technology transformation.

The goal of TDI Engineering Platforms and Practices is to enable the enterprise governance for the development process within Deutsche Bank.

We will put an engineering mindset at the forefront of the decision-making process and will establish and embed the engineering best practice across the IT teams.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will support the transformation of the SDLC procedures and tooling to modernize the Bank’s software development practice, reduce risk and improve efficiency (including establishing a common SDLC control plane)​.

Responsibilities

  • The DevOps Engineer role comprises subject matter engineering expertise in design, development, deployment and maintenance of tools such as Github, Bitbucket, JIRA, TeamCity, Artifactory and others.
  • You will have to understand and ensure the full compliance to the bank’s policy and standards and thus be able to define SDLC and Agile practices and influence other individuals in and outside the team.
  • You’ll have development skills, be familiar with IDE’s and development tool sets and will be working with the product owner, level 2/3 teams, vendor contacts and the engineering team to handle daily operational tasks and long-term projects.
  • Typical operational tasks may include designing and implementing automation for application deployments, application upgrades, application & data migrations. 

Skills

  • Deep technical skills in at least one scripting language environment (e.g. Python, Shell scripting, GoLang).
  • Experience with Docker containerization and clustering (Kubernetes, Docker, Dockerfiles, Helm, GCP/Azure/AWS).
  • Experience in automation tools and platforms such as BitBucket, TeamCity/Jenkins, Artifactory, GitHub Actions and strong knowledge of application monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana).
  • Experience in software development processes, models, lifecycles and methodologies
  • Working within a global team, English is a must
