Purpose Intro

Role Intro

Third Party Screening and Monitoring (TPSM) team is a centralized function with global and cross-Divisional operational remit, aiming to provide a comprehensive overview of the vendor screening and monitoring activities, while setting up the instructions and criteria along the process applicable for the Deutsche Bank’s third party portfolio.

Role holder is responsible for the following activities related to the vendors’ portfolio:

  • Basic screening: Sanctions and Embargos, Internal Watch List
  • Enhanced screening: Adverse Media, Politically Exposed Persons, Financial Stability, Environmental & Social Governance
  • Ongoing monitoring through Financial Stability, Adverse Media and other regular checks
  • Handling of alerts and escalations
  • KPI and reporting

This role partners with Risk Type Controllers, Service Officers, Divisional Vendor Management Office and Category Managers to design and maintain the underlying minimum screening standards, associated process, related operational and risk reporting information.

Responsibilities

· Screening: responsible for performing screening for new and existing third parties delivering services to Deutsche Bank as well as managing and tracking any risks/issues deriving from the screening process; perform all the needed actions and tracking in order to achieve the internal operational indicators and internal targets on the TPSM related process.

· Tooling& controls: responsible for using the Deutsche Bank third party vendor screening tooling in order to perform timely and accurate the screening controls into the third party vendor management system (dbTPRM), along with updating the related reports& approvals;

· Management Information: contribute to the delivery of regular metrics to articulate the screening results.

· Projects: support specific initiatives assigned by the Head of Screening and Monitoring team, with opportunity to participate as team member for specific initiatives.

· Relationship Management: build and maintain strong partnerships with all key stakeholders within the process to facilitate operational excellence.

Skills

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (or equivalent) and relevant practical experience.

· Previous experience on one of the following areas is a big plus - vendor risk management/ know-your-supplier/ compliance/ investigation/ anti-fraud/ due diligence.

· Ability to build positive working relationships, collaborate and communicate with stakeholders around procurement, compliance or risk functions.

· Strong analytical skills, attention to details and data interpretation.

· Fluent written and spoken English.
