Divisional Risk and Control Analyst - Devices and Workplace
Position overview
The Devices and Workplace team, within the ‘End User Computing’ division, is responsible for the development and support of the platforms, that allow day to day work. As a member of the risk team it will be your responsibility to work within the banks Finding Management Policy, to ensure that risks related to the Devices area are logged, tracked reported and ultimately remediated, in collaboration with development teams, central risk teams (such as CAF, IVMO and NFRM) and Group Audit, to ensure that identified issues are sustainably remediated.
The role may also be required to provide input into both internal and external audits and engage with Group Audit on closure revalidation activities.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Risk & Control activities for the Devices tower. The activities cover multiple risk areas including assessing and managing the risk log, remediation of risks, face off to audits, regulatory requests and governing technology risk metrics.
- Assess technology risk in various situations based on inputs provided by the SMEs
- Evaluate evidence for closure of risk items in line with company policies.
- Face off to internal risk functions, related to various risk initiatives and programs.
- Managing regulatory responses for the Devices Technology towers. Numerous regulators and counterparties assess the bank’s IT security set up and the responses need to be provided in coordination with the Devices Tower, appropriately and in a timely way.
- Partner with EUC Technology Towers and Non Financial Risk Management / Risk Type Controllers (RTC) to coordinate and respond to ongoing activities..
- Lead and support Risk Remediation project(s) as part of the overall EUC Risk Program.
- Actively suggest improvements and efficiencies that benefit the end user community and improve the overall risk processes
Skills
Required skills:
- Experience of working in a Risk Function in a Technology Department.
- The ability to effectively work with business users, developers and other technology colleagues outside of your direct team, across a broad range of business functions and at all levels of the organization
- The ability to multitask, prioritize work and adapt during sometimes pressured situations.
- “Can do” positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good English communication skills
Nice to have skills:
- Knowledge of risk tools used in DB ie. GFMS, DBCI, NAR are a plus
- Experience of working with DB’s Finding Management Policy (FMP)
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel, MS Access and MS Powerpoint
