As an Release Manager you will develop and deliver significant components of engineering solutions to satisfy complex and diverse business goals. You will engage and partner with the business whilst working within a broader creative, collaborative and innovative team, with a strong desire to make an impact.
This includes definition of the IT strategy and provision of solutions to allow Risk to manage all aspects of risk from the analysis of counterparty credit risk to the protection of the Bank's infrastructure and information.
Responsibilities
- Work within software development projects as a Release Manager to develop new and maintain existing micro services and APIs for Credit Risk applications suite of applications.
- Bring your experience to actively help to increase the stability and reliability of the developed solutions, identify and fix bugs and increase test automation of the services to maintain.
- Use your experience as a Release Manager to evaluate and ensure that your services can be operated flawlessly on the provided platform, even under high load scenarios such as multiple parallel front-end user sessions in parallel with a further middleware user sessions.
- Act as a contact person for service engineering related topics raised by (junior) service engineers (who’s coaching you actively help to shape) and other team members.
- Deliver training sessions for other development teams and promote an efficient transfer of know-how.
- Work on a web application that is highly visible to Credit Risk stakeholders and has an impact on the overall department.
Skills
- Knowledge of at least one modern programming language (Python, Golang, JAVA, JS, shell scripting) is an advantage.
- Experience with DevOps practices incl. continuous integration (CI), continuous delivery (CD). Version control using Bitbucket and Github
- Knowledge with Container management hands-on experience: OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Knowledge with automation/ configuration management using tools such as Urban Code Deploy, Ansible or relevant.
- Experience of working in an Agile Development team practicing (SCRUM), KANBAN, XP. Familiarisation with SAFe (Scaled Agile) delivery methodology concepts
- Knowledge of SQL, relational and NOSQL databases, Oracle PL/PLSQL nice to have
- Rigorous, resourceful, adaptable with good attention to detail and strong project ownership
- Experience with CMDB tools like ServiceNOW and SDLC process.
- Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal and organization skills. Team player, with strong collaboration skills and ability to communicate at all levels. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
