The Mission

Data is a game-changer. It’s all around us. Implementing a uniform approach as to how we manage data throughout the bank allows us to enhance the customer experience, lower IT operational costs, and swiftly and correctly report to external regulators.

Data management can help our customers and our organization unlock new potential and realize our shared vision of becoming a next generation digital bank.

The ETL Engineer is responsible for integrating and loading data in the data lake according to business requirements and for providing data to beneficiaries such as Finance, Risk, Data Analytics. We are working in cross-border squads consisting of product owners, technical business analysts, Ops engineers and ETL engineers.

Your day to day

Even if you’ll start your day from the comfort of your home or drink your morning coffee in our office’s garden, your day will be quite similar when comes to tasks. Here are your daily responsibilities:

  • Develop ETL flows using IBM Infosphere DataStage and Oracle DB
  • Integrate data from different source systems in the Information Warehouse
  • Perform tests and validate all data flows and prepare all ETL processes according to business requirements
  • Contribute to code versioning and deployment of changes using Azure DevOps
  • Understand the concepts and the business value of the data that is processed
  • Understand the Logical Data Model and Physical Data Model
  • Build Data Marts in alignment with the business needs
  • Monitor and maintain the data flows and features running in our local & global Data Lakes (incident management and bug fixing)
  • Ensure compliancy with the IT Security/Risk standards, which are a key part of the risk management process of the bank
  • Help tune performance and ensure high availability of services

What you’ll bring to the team

  • Experience: We are looking for IT professionals with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the data management area of which at least 2 years working with ETL processes and tools on a Data Warehouse or Data Lake platform
  • Tech stack/ knowledge:

Mandatory:

  • SQL and relational database concepts (e.g. ORACLE, SQL Server, DB2, Teradata)
  • ETL processes and tools (e.g. IBM DataStage, Informatica, ODI, SAS DI, SSIS, PL/SQL)
  • Linux OS and shell commands

Nice to have:

  • Data Warehouse/Data Lake concepts
  • Continuous deployment and delivery tools (Azure DevOps) and versioning tools (Git)
  • Business Intelligence tools (e.g. IBM Cognos, PowerBI, Tableau, MicroStrategy, QlikView)
  • Foreign languages: English (advanced)
