The goal of TDI Engineering Platforms and Practices is to enable the enterprise governance for the development process within Deutsche Bank.
We will put an engineering mindset at the forefront of the decision-making process and will establish and embed the engineering best practice across the IT teams.
As a Control & Automation Engineer, you will support the transformation of the SDLC procedures and tooling to modernize the Bank’s software development practice, reduce risk and improve efficiency (including establishing a common SDLC control plane) by implementing automated governance platforms and guiding the users into the adoption.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and support to project, application and service owners in relation to the Control requirements and how to be compliant and the evidence required. Track and record progress of application remediation activities.
- Liaise with Service Owners, Procurement & Legal teams to track and record progress of vendor compliance leveraging authoritative sources and tooling for this purpose. Ensure up to date complete and correct information is evidenced.
- You will have to understand and ensure the full compliance to the bank’s policy and standards and thus be able to define SDLC and Agile practices and influence other individuals in and outside the team.
- Support product and engineering teams on any changes in scope to control implementation, remove blockers and train/mentor individuals to ensure the team is successful
- Will be working with the product owner, level 2/3 teams, vendor contacts and the engineering team to handle daily operational tasks and long-term projects. Typical operational tasks may include designing and implementing automation for control evidencing.
Skills
- Prior experience in procurement or vendor management
- Prior exposure with software suppliers and contract law (desirable)
- Understanding of risk management
- Strong analytical skills, including attention to detail
- Demonstrable experience in stakeholder management, including liaising and influencing strategic decision makers such as program sponsors, key business users, and vendors.
- Exceptional written and oral English skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience and with executive levels.
- Experience in software development processes, models, lifecycles and methodologies
- Familiar with IDE’s and automation concepts.
