Job role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Strategic Purchaser to join our Procurement team. The Strategic Purchaser will be responsible for overseeing the strategical and operational Procurement processes, negotiating different projects and working to achieve Allianz Group savings target.

What you will do

  • Manage sourcing activities in the category of Professional Services with a focus on services procurement (i.e., strategy and operations consulting, expert advisory, project management support).
  • Assess business requests, specify demand and deliverables, execute defined procurement activities to ensure a timely start of the project.
  • Drive strategic and tactical sourcing initiatives incl. selection of potential suppliers, coordination of RFPs, assessment of proposals, negotiation of commercial terms.
  • Execute contracting activities incl. coordination of contract extension cycles, alignment with stakeholders, amendment of contract documents.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as finance and legal teams to ensure alignment of procurement activities with business objectives.
  • Manage the relationship with selected preferred suppliers to ensure adherence with company requirements and expectations throughout the lifecycle of the engagement.
  • Monitor deliverables expectations, track performance and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
  • Consult and support both internal and external stakeholders in all procurement related matters incl. process training and problem resolution.
  • Support implementing and executing the Procurement strategy for the Professional Services incl. active supplier consolidation, central sourcing initiative steering, global process standardization.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders incl. senior management, functional departments and procurement colleagues on a local and global level
  • Coordinate change requests, monitor contract cycles and savings initiatives and support system-supported RFQ processes.

What you bring

  • University Degree;
  • 5 years+ of work experience in Procurement, Contract/ Supplier Management, specialization in Services and Consulting Procurement would be a plus;
  • Experience in project management, direct negotiation and contract management;
  • Strong understanding of Procurement processes, specifically strategic sourcing;
  • Customer-first and service-oriented mindset with the ability to build relationships.

You have

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders;
  • Self-starter: solution orientated with a high level of autonomy and proactivity;
  • Proficient in the common MS-Office programs;
  • Fluent English written and spoken (any other language is a plus).
