We are looking for a Senior Azure Fabric Cloud and Data Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our Azure-based cloud and data ecosystems over Azure Fabric. In this role, you will architect scalable, secure, and resilient solutions using Azure Service Fabric, Azure Data services (Data Lake, Data Factory, Synapse, etc.), and related technologies. As the technical subject matter expert, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams—including DevOps, data engineering, and security—to ensure the seamless integration of cloud infrastructure and data solutions that power mission-critical business applications.
Responsibilities:
Design and maintain Azure Service Fabric clusters for hosting microservices and applications.
Oversee the architecture of Azure-based solutions, including compute, networking, security, and storage.
Develop best practices for high availability, scalability, and performance.
Architect and implement robust data ingestion, transformation, and storage solutions using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
Define and manage data governance policies, ensuring security, data quality, and compliance with regulations.
Collaborate with data science and analytics teams to create efficient data pipelines.
Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates using tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.
Implement DevOps best practices to streamline release cycles and improve operational efficiency.
Work with security teams to design and maintain secure network architectures, identity and access management, encryption, and threat protection on Azure.
Continuously assess and remediate vulnerabilities, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Establish policies for data privacy, retention, and disaster recovery.
Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance and cost-effectiveness.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical designs and project roadmaps.
Mentor and guide junior architects, engineers, and developers on Azure best practices.
Present architectural recommendations, proof-of-concepts, and technology roadmaps to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in designing and implementing Azure cloud solutions, including Azure Service Fabric and/or microservices architecture.
Proven expertise in Azure data services (Data Factory, Data Lake, Databricks, Synapse Analytics).
Strong understanding of distributed systems, container orchestration, and event-driven architectures.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep) and DevOps workflows (CI/CD, version control).
Solid understanding of networking, security, and identity management in Azure (Azure AD, RBAC, Managed Identities).
Familiarity with relational (SQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (Cosmos DB).
