We are currently seeking a Back Office Consultant to join our Client Delivery team in Portugal.

The Client Delivery Back office is composed of experienced financial professionals who provide professional delivery solutions for our clients around the world. Team members are responsible for understanding clients’ business requirements into the capabilities of the Calypso software, responding to a wide variety of methodology and financial technical questions (FinTech Division). The Back Office team works closely with other Company Departments to ensure a successful project (Sales, Engineer, Products, etc).

Your responsibilities will look like:

  • Work directly with customers to capture, scope, and document client capital markets requirements and map them to the Calypso Standard Reference Model (CSRM) functions and processes and, influence them towards adopting our best practice solutions.

  • Work hands-on to design, configure, and test the system to ensure that it meets the business requirements wherever is a standard configuration or a deviation from CSRM accelerating the time to market.

  • Follow up with the Client’s end-users to validate the solution delivered, achieve signoff, and continue to support various phases such as Blueprint, Foundation, Execution, SIT, UAT, Migration activities, and Go-live in partnership with project managers.

  • Identify and raise core product gaps and follow up through our internal process until delivery. During the development of improvements, the Consultant will work with the Product team or Project technical team to iteratively test improvements to ensure they will meet business requirements. Finally, assisting in deployment and validation by the Client will be needed as well.

  • Responsible for training users on the system´s usage, client’s configuration and use cases, and/or new functionality.

What we expect from you:

  • Previous role as a Solution Designer in Back Office consultancy within the capital markets industry.

  • Expertise in one or more asset classes: FX, FI/MM, IRD, FXD, CRD, EQD, CMD.

  • Expertise in Post trade processing topics : settlement, confirmations, collateral, settlement messages, trade life cycle.

  • Ability to simplify complex ideas.

  • Proficiency in English (other language is a plus).

  • Strategic approach with the ability to anticipate future trends.

  • Customer focused, effectively communicating requirements and functionalities.

  • Collaborative great teammate.

  • Desirable: Understanding of Front-To-Back Business Units.

  • Personal attributes: Analytical thinking, results-driven, effective communication, team-oriented, transparent and accountable.

  • Availability to travel: available to travel up to 25% of the time to meet clients onsite as required.

This role is based Portugal but may involve international travel to our other offices and clients. The company allows the flexibility to work half a week on-site and remotely (Hybrid model).
