Key Responsibilities
Support and implement the vision, strategy, direction and leadership for the CIB Client Coverage ("CC") and Transaction Banking ("TB") CFCC Advisory teams, consistent with Head, CFCC Advisory, CC & TB UK & Europe’s vision and strategy for the Compliance function and in support of the Bank’s strategic direction and growth aspirations.
Provide consistent support to colleagues with responsibilities for Client Coverage and Transaction Banking (of which all references shall also include products/services such as Cash, Trade, DCS, Payments, Coverage including highlighting key areas of pan-geographical focus).
Develop a comprehensive foundational understanding of the business model, products, services and strategy in order to provide substantive oversight and challenge that ensure sustainable CFCC outcomes.
Support the maintenance of global CFCC standards in accordance with standards set by senior management.
Support the maintenance and refresh of relevant CFCC frameworks, standards, policies and processes applicable to CC and TB.
Support establishment and maintenance of effective processes (including training, advice and support) to ensure that policies, procedures and standards to address compliance risks (excluding financial crime) are effectively implemented and adhered to across TB & CC.
Support the governance and oversight over the implementation of CFCC related policies and procedures with respect to CC and TB (to enable compliance with such policies and procedures).
Ensure appropriate tracking and maintenance of ongoing and upcoming tasks/activities/initiatives.
Ensure appropriate reporting and escalation of issues, where required and provide regular updates on ongoing tasks and initiatives for oversight to People Leader and other updates tracking.
Support efforts to anticipate horizon risks that may have a significant impact on the Bank, and CC and TB, and develop effective strategies to mitigate such horizon risks including global standards for conduct of business.
Support efforts to ensure the effective management of CFCC matters in CC and TB, and management of related regulatory issues that have a significant impact on the Bank.
Skills and Experience
Proven experience in a compliance role within the banking sector.
Experience working within a regulatory environment, with expertise in reviewing, interpreting, and assessing banking regulations.
Advanced knowledge of UK and/or EU compliance banking regulations.
Highly organized with the ability to manage a high volume of work effectively.
Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
Experience working with data and advanced knowledge of Excel.
Exceptional task management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
Excellent organizational and team workflow management skills.
Fluent in English, both speaking and writing.
Educational background at degree level (or equivalent).
