JOB DESCRIPTION

As a member of the US Controllers organization, the incumbent supports the US Management Reporting, Planning & Analysis team. Under direct or general supervision, responsible for conducting straight forward financial analyses, assisting with preparation of financial statements and reports, and gaining knowledge and understanding of the US Segment and the broader organization.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist with managerial financial analysis, reporting, planning and forecasting, and compilation and analysis of internal and external reports
  • Review financial reports and presentations to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data as well as commentary 
  • Ability to maintain and develop effective financial templates for financial reporting, planning and forecasting
  • Provides a variety of financial data and develops ability to analyze financial results
  • Provide support for Microsoft PowerPoint financial presentations (e.g., MIS Reporting, Rating Agencies, Planning, and other ad hoc presentation requests)
  • Develops proficiency with reporting and analysis tools
  • Proactively identifies process streamlining and automation opportunities, and implements 
  • Manages and appropriately prioritizes tasks individually and with team members
  • Trains and reviews work performed by CPA development and/or interns
  • Assist and prepare ad-hoc analyses and reports
  • Respond to support requests from the business units (research, analyze and reconcile reporting discrepancies or issues with respect to utilization of reporting templates)
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting or another related field required
  • 3-4+ years of experience in management reporting
  • Prior experience in a Finance role preferred and Financial Services Industry knowledge a plus
  • Knowledge of accounting systems and tools, and Microsoft Office preferred (e.g., Essbase/Smartview, Dodeca, PowerBI, Alteryx, Anaplan, Excel and Powerpoint)
  • Ability to learn new applications quickly 
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, with an aptitude for financial analysis and management reporting
  • A team player with a high level of initiative, strong work ethic and the ability to gather, synthesize, organize and report information
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, manage priorities, proactively investigate issues, troubleshoot, use judgement, and deliver timely and quality results in a demanding and deadline-oriented environment
  • Strong professional judgment, accountability, customer service, and eye for efficiency improvements
