General Accountabilities:

The HR Pension and Benefits Team Lead is responsible for managing and implementing government and company offered employee benefit programs in all Manulife entities in the Philippines. This position ensures alignment with the organization’s objectives and compliance with legal requirements. This role requires a thorough understanding of benefits administration, including pension plans, health insurance, wellness programs, and other employee benefits. This role works closely with HR colleagues, vendors, government agencies, and employees to provide support and guidance in executing the benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the team’s day to day operations and staff inquiries to ensure KPIs are met
  • Supervise the government and organization’s benefits programs including SSS, HDMF (Pag-ibig), Philhealth, Pension, HMO, and other wellness programs.
  • Ensure benefit administration complies with local regulations (e.g. DOLE, BIR, etc).
  • Liaise with vendors and benefit providers inside and outside the organization.
  • Develop and deliver employee communications related to benefit administration.
  • Provide assistance to employees with benefits-related questions and issues, ensuring a high level of customer service.
  • Ensure benefits reports are accurate and identify trends to develop cost-savings opportunities and employee experience improvements.
  • Hire, train and develop new and existing staff.
  • Review team performance and conduct coaching and meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of any bachelor’s degree, HR related course is an advantage
  • 3years related-work experience in Pension and Benefits administration
  • Strong understanding of PH benefits-related regulations and compliance requirements
  • Ability to extract and analyze data, convert to meaningful presentation, and provide data insights
  • Strong Business acumen, preferably within the financial industry 
  • For internal applicants, must have at least one-year tenure in their current position. They must also meet job expectations and pass all performance metrics in his/her current unit.

Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge in Microsoft office (excel, power point etc.) and HRIS systems (Workday, Salesforce, GlobalView/SAP, etc)
  • work experience in BPO/Shared Services/Finance industry
