The role of CIB-Operations covers a wide range of activities. Following the buying and selling of financial products and services by the bank, we ensure that each transaction is captured accurately and in a timely manner to ensure effective risk management, cleared, documented and confirmed, settled and reconciled, all within a tightly controlled environment in adherence with global regulatory requirements. We are split into 4 main sub-divisions:

  • Debt Trading and Emerging Markets

  • Global Equities and Network Management

  • Markets Clearing & Collateral Management (MCCM)

  • Regulatory and Control Cross Product Operations (RCP)

Your key responsibilities

  • Trade capture and trade support; Will need to ensure trades executed are entered completely & accurately in the trade booking & risk management systems including sending confirms to clients

  • Perform core start-of-day and end-of-day controls to ensure Risk is correctly represented for the Trading Desks.  Perform and oversee daily reconciliation investigations, commentary assessment, and take action to resolve valid trade breaks and mismatches.

  • Daily management of trade life cycle events such as expiries, dividends, corporate actions, etc. and ensuring that all related trades are input, processed, and booked in a timely manner to properly reflect actions.

  • Respond to client queries, CSRs and Trading Desks requests, and general lifecycle inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.  Coordinate the trade capture flows and act as a point of contact for stakeholders on concerns with trade bookings by responding with immediate and more long-term solutions.

  • Coordinate and arrange account, book, codes, security, and other static set-ups necessary for trade capture in the various trade booking and risk management systems

Your skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Business or Finance course or its equivalent

  • Experience in stakeholder management from the Financial Services, Investment Banking or Commercial Banking industry

  • Understanding of the trade booking/life cycle process, financial markets or equity operations for the Asia Pacific

  • Proven experience in Investment Banking Operations in a leadership capacity. Analytical and problem-solving skills combined with excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to cater to demanding stakeholders

  • A team player who is collaborative yet able to work independently
