The Head of Corporate Actuarial is responsible for leading management reporting and experience monitoring and provides insights on the drivers of business results. The role also spearheads forecasting and planning cycle. It is also the responsibility of the Head of Corporate Actuarial to align and manage stakeholders locally, from Group Office and external consultants or auditors.Key Responsibilities:
Lead embedded value (EV), value of new business (VNB) and other KPI reporting such as expense overrun in both regular reporting cycles and business planningProphet model operations and maintenanceExperience studies and assumption reviewReinsurance settlementsCooperate and communicate with counterparts in local office, Group office, and external parties such as consultantsPresentation to senior managementLead the Corporate Actuarial team
Experience:Must be a graduate of BS Math/Statistics/Actuarial Science or related degree
A Fellow of the Actuarial Society of the Philippines (FASP) or an Associate of the Actuarial Society of the Philippines (AASP) and Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) close to completing the requirements for local fellowship
At least 10 years of experience in actuarial roles and financial reporting.
Deep understanding of EV, VNB and local regulatory standards such as solvency.
Good understanding of IFRS17.
Deep understanding of life insurance products and distribution models.
Knowledge in Prophet and DCS highly preferred.Preferably worked with a multinational life insurance company.Ability to manage a team of actuarial associates and achieve results by working with and through cross-functional teams.Highest regard for professionalism and integrity.Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, including macro programming.Ability to clearly communicate technical results to both technical and non-technical audiences.Effective leader and strong collaborator within and across teams.Has great attention to detail.Solution-oriented: ability to resolve challenges quickly, decisively and effectively.Open-minded to find innovative solutions to typical actuarial challenges.Demonstrates the FWD values of being innovative, committed, proactive, open and caring.
