Location: Manila

Team Overview

Entity Close APAC Team handles the financial reporting processes both for Local Regulatory and Head Office. It closely works with the country finance of each location in the preparation and releases of Financial Reports. The team covers Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia, Vietnam and Sri Lanka

Your key responsibilities

  • Production & review of daily, monthly, quarterly and annual reports for Head Office, Local Regulatory and Statutory accounts.
  • Management of outstanding issues and escalation to stakeholders and 
  • Produce management information reports such as board packs
  • Preparation & review of journal entries including tax and local/HGB deltas
  • Conduct root cause analysis and provide recommendations on corrective and preventive actions
  • Propose initiatives to improve existing controls, processes and outputs to support execution of business strategy and mitigation of risks
  • Regular update and review of process documentations
  • Engage with different business partners and stakeholders via all types of media
  • Involvement in projects to support team objectives and strategies.

Your skills and experience

  • Experience in Banking or Audit (at least 5 years)
  • Able to work in fast-paced environment and keep pace with technical and operational innovation
  • Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (written/verbal)
  • Preferably knowledgeable about basic to advanced MS Excel, PowerPoint, Access and SAP (able to efficiently manage and analyze large quantities of data; able to build and follow formulas, make changes as requested and ensure data integrity)
  • Has excellent work ethics and organizational skills coupled with the ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Basic Understanding of Financial Reporting process
  • Basic Understanding of Financial Data associated with the General Ledger
  • Open minded, able to share information, transfer knowledge and expertise to team members
  • A great team-player and is able to work independently and collaboratively
  • Has excellent work ethics and organizational skills coupled with the ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Able to manage deliverables against tight deadlines
  • Motivated individual who seeks a challenging career with substantial responsibility
