Job Description:
OVERALL PURPOSE:
To support successful program and project delivery by providing a guidance on PMO policies, processes and tools, as well as financial discipline and ensuring team members uphold the company's standards throughout the project.
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Accountable for the IT Portfolio processes including intake process, planning, portfolio governance and project methodology frameworks for both traditional and agile.
Custodian of organisation-wide project management standards, templates, tools and processes.
Provide oversight, high-level coordination and management to portfolio, program and project management across the organisation
Regularly review and evaluate project and portfolio performance,
Analyze project performance metrics and regularly prepare management reports
Recommend and monitor action items to address improvement areas and drive improvements into the PMO program and ensure industry best practices are leveraged.
Constantly collaborate with IT Leaders to ensure that projects are managed effectively
Ensure project management standards are being executed across the IT project portfolio
Closely collaborate with the Resource Manager to create and maintain staffing plans.
Effectively and transparently deliver on IT’s financial plans.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Education: College/University Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management or related field
Experience: At least 10 years experience in all phases of project management; At least 5 years experience in managing a Project Management Office handling both traditional and agile projects
Special Skills: Excellent analysis & reporting skills; Excellent interpersonal skills and business communication skills as well as organizational and time management skills. Should be able to communicate effectively with internal and external parties, peers and executive management. Excellent administrative and organizational skills, attentive to details and high level of accuracy at work.
